Duet Troubleshooting
Transform your existing tv & soundbar/amp into the ultimate karaoke machine
I have connected to my TV using Optical Cables but not getting any Sound?
Please ensure your TV Audio Output is set to OPTICAL in the TV’s Settings Menu, and the TV volume is turned up, also that the Mixer is powered on and volume is turned up.
I cannot connect to Bluetooth?"
The Mixer can only be connected to one device at a time, so if you connect one device (eg your phone) and then try to connect another device (eg your iPad) it will not work, you first need to go into the Bluetooth settings on your first device and disconnect.
I am just getting a cracking noise on some apps/channels on my TV
Please check the audio formats settings on your TV, if your TV audio format is set to "Dolby Digital" this sometimes causes problems with the Mixer, please try changing to a different mode, such as "PCM" in your TV Audio Settings
The volume is really quiet from my TV?
The Mixer is designed to reduce the volume level from your TV/Computer to allow for the inclusion of vocal microphones, so you may need to increase the volume on your TV more than you would normally to get the music volume to your desired level, also ensure Music Volume dial on mixer is up full.
I’m getting an echo / delay / latency on the microphones?
Check to see if your Soundbar, Amp or AV receiver has any sound modes on, such as surround sound, stadium mode, dolby etc. These sound processing modes add delay & effects to the audio which cause havoc with live vocals, please remove any sound processing modes to minimise vocal delay.
Can I use the Duet Karaoke Mixer with just my TV, Computer or Phone/Tablet?
No, the Duet Karaoke Mixer is just a mixer with Microphones so requires some type of speaker to work, so can only be used with a TV and Soundbar/Amp , or with a Computer/Phone/Tablet and Speaker. It is designed for people who already have a Soundbar or Surround Sound system to be able to add Karaoke Microphones into their existing setup, negating the need to buy a separate Karaoke Speaker.
I am getting feedback from the microphones?
Try standing further away from your speakers/Soundbar, and reduce the microphone treble and/or volume levels.
Microphones are cutting out/not working?
Try replacing batteries ensuring to use good quality "alkaline" batteries rather than rechargeables. Even if the screen on the microphone is coming on, there might not be enough power to reliably transmit audio. Also ensure Microphones have line of sight to the Mixer, if there are obstacles in the way this will affect connection.
Where to i find karaoke videos to play?
Once you have connected your smart device, open the youtube app and search for the Mr Entertainer Karaoke Channel for thousands of high quality karaoke videos available to play for free.
